Our story

From improvised sessions to a structured label.

2013

Kitsui is 13 when he opens his first DAW. The earliest demos are born in an improvised studio, walls covered with mattresses to deaden the sound. Cubase, Logic, FL Studio, Reaper: he tries everything.

2018

He meets Køni, then Biggy. They spend evenings listening to beats, writing, rapping over them. Working together quickly becomes obvious.

2020

Lockdowns turn weekend studio sessions into entire weeks. They record, mix, redo. A few outside artists start asking for mixes.

2021

The idea of having a structure of their own takes shape. They want to keep control over their releases, artistic direction and distribution. In short: stay independent.

2022

VCG slowly becomes a hub for artists who want to record, mix and release their projects. Biggy invests in video direction.

2024

Official launch of VCG Recordz on January 16, 2024. Biggy as president, Kitsui in operations, Køni in business. VCG Production opens to the first beatmakers: Oddgyes, Shidozz, DMB.

2026

The label has become a collective: artists, DJs, sound engineers, event coordinators. We keep doing what we love, at our own pace, one step at a time.
