Licensing.
1. Overview
VCG Recordz represents its own artists and producers and handles licensing on their behalf. This page details how our catalogue can be licensed for commercial, promotional or creative use. Each licence is granted on a case-by-case basis through a written agreement.
2. Our catalogue
Our catalogue covers masters of tracks released by our artists as well as instrumentals produced by our in-house beatmakers. All rights in masters and compositions are held or controlled by VCG Recordz or its associated artists and producers, unless otherwise stated.
3. Distribution
VCG Recordz distributes original recordings to streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music, etc.) under exclusive or non-exclusive agreements with its artists. Distribution includes: metadata, ISRC codes, release coordination, royalty collection.
4. Sync & master use
For any synchronisation in audiovisual works (film, series, advertising, video games, social media campaigns) a master licence and a publishing licence must be obtained in writing prior to use. We handle both sides in-house for our catalogue.
5. Beats & instrumentals
Beats from our producers are sold under four standard licence tiers: Non-Exclusive, Premium, Unlimited and Exclusive. Each tier has its own rights (streams, distribution, commercial use, stems). Beats are available on our producers' official Beatstars pages. Terms of each licence are detailed at the time of purchase.
6. Samples & clearance
Any track we release is expected to be either fully original or properly cleared. VCG Recordz does not authorise unlicensed use of third-party samples. Artists signing with us are responsible for clearing any sampled material in advance.
7. Artists looking to sign
We work with a small number of artists each year: distribution, release strategy, booking, artistic direction. If you are an artist interested in joining the label, reach out via the form with a short presentation and links to your latest work.
8. Licensing requests
For any licensing, sync or clearance request: team@vcgrecordz.eu, with details about the intended use, territory, duration and media. We respond within five business days.
